I recently acquired a modified mauser.Can anyone tell me if it is compatable to a 308 regular ammunition.

John Boy:
Depending on the type of mauser you have. If it i based on the k98 german mauser it is chambered for the .323. This is bigger that the 308. Slug the barrel and make sure it is not the .318 made for the gew 88 mauser.
