You meant LABOR Day, and yes I'll be at the Range. As a Firearm Instructor, Range Safety Officer, and Saturday Pistol League competition, I will inhale my share of gun smoke.

The nitrate content I'm not so worried about. It's the lead and other stuff inhaled while sweeping up the range.

That's why I prefer an outdoor range if possible. Problem is the 90degree heat here.

I have to sweep up the brass and paper. This indoor range has a great ventilation system.
Very comfortable Summer and Winter.

THATS WHAT WE HAVE TO WORK WITH HERE ALSO , IVE GOT ONLY THREE OUTSIDE RANGES THAT ARE A RESONABLE DRIVE . SO MOST OF IT IS DONE IN THE A/C

The affordable indoor range here, doesn't have a very good ventilation system, and the A/C doesn't really cool the range well. My other option is $18/hr. Ridiculous.

Wish I could just go out back and shoot. I need some property.

I GO TO GATOR GUNS AND ARCHERY IN WPB. A/C AND 7.00 HR BUT YOU HAVE TO SHOOT THERE AMMO ( INSURANCE REASONS ) YA ! ANY WAY 22.00 FOR 45ACP GETS EXPENSIVE QUICK , UMP HAS 30 RND GREASE GUN MAGS 16.00 ISH A STICK !$$$$$ WE COULD SHOOT OFF THE BACK PORCH WHERE I GREW UP IN MAINE . MY DAD HAD 40 ACORS THAT WAS HOOKED TO HUNDREDS MORE THAT WAS JUST WOODS DEER , MOOSE ,BLACK BEAR ALL IN THE BACK YARD ! NICE . I WISH MY WIFE WOULD MOVE UP THERE , SHE LIKES GORGIA NORTH OF ATLANTA . THEY HAVE A FEW GUN FACTORIES UP THERE ( MACHINE SHOP ) THEY MAKE THEM ,( ADVANCED ARMORMENT CORP ). WOULD BE A VERY COOL JOB !

Those range and ammo prices are steep. I'm shelling out 0.30 a round for bulk 45ACP FMJ. Not much better. I do spend almost 0.10 a round for Ely .22 std vel target ammo. Very consistent stuff for pistol league. As a RSO, my range fee is waved. I pay $10 hour for my son when he shows up. He typically shoots until my ammo is gone. Then he sweeps the range and collect the brass when public hours are over. I'm proud to have him there and a time will come when won't be. So I don't mind the little extra expense.

The range I typically go to has a $14.00 flat fee. They don't charge by the hour, which is nice. We have an outdoor range 20 minutes away that is a $20.00 flat fee. The outdoor range only allows 1 round in a magazine at a time. Real pain in the you know what.

ONE ROUND WHAT KIND OF S*** IS THAT , HA!, IT MUST TAKE FOREVER TO SHOOT A BOX OR TWO . DOES THAT INCLUDE BOLT GUNS , OR JUST AUTO'S

CAN WE USE 50BMG . OR IS THERE A SIZE RESTRICTION ALSO !

One round for all guns. Real stupid rule, which is why I've only been there once. Not sure if they have a size restriction. I don't have a .50BMG.

In my humble opinion, that rule is ridiculous and what happens when lawyers and insurance companies are involved. I am a Range Safety Officer (RSO) and Certified Handgun Instructor. Firearm safety must be paramount at any range. Safe handling of the ammo and firearm shall be habitual everywhere, PERIOD. The range I work at has a RSO stationed to observe the range activity at all times. Having one round in firearm will not make an individual a safer shooter. Only proper training and employing NRA safety rules will. At $20 per person, the range can afford to have a trained RSO present to verify safe handling is observed. The Range will attract more customers. Not produce frustrated ones...

Agreed! I would rather drive an hour to the other outdoor range. it's a 1000 yarder, and on certain occasions they let you shoot at targets of your liking, i.e. watermelons, provided you clean up your mess.

Watermelon are R. Lee Ermey favorite display fruit on The History Channel's 'MAIL CALL' - a bit messy to pick up though. But my kind of fruit salad at 50 yards. The only thing I could hit at 1,000 yds is the possibly the broadside of a barn.
