Major Garand, I suggest the purchase of an AK47 field repair kit. It contains a trigger, hammer, semi auto sear, spring, pin and safety lever. The kit is inexpensive. This kit will not contain a full auto sear. http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.asp?Item=105957984 As an RnG Web Site Moderator, I prefer not to provide any further advice. I apologize. Per your post, this firearm is a Full Auto version rifle. I must remind you that to 'legally' own such a firearm in the United States, correct Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (BATF) Federal Regulatory Permit and documentation must be in your possession. Good luck. "When Determined To Survive, Leave Nothing To Chance" |

ONE QUESTION . DID YOU MESS WITH IT ! THE REAL AK 47 SELECT FIRE GOES ,SAFE , FULL AUTO , SEMI AUTO ! THATS RIGHT IF YOU TRIED TO PUT AUTO PARTS IN A SEMI FRAME GOOD LUCK ! IF ITS A LICENED FULL AUTO , YOU CAN UPTAIN THE PROPER PARTS AT YOUR CLASS THREE DEALER YOU MAY HAVE TO ORDER THEM . IT SHOULD NOT BE FALLING DOWN TO FULL AUTO UNLESS IT IS ON SAFE TO BEGIN WITH . WHAT BRAND IS IT ! WHAT BOLT CARRIER IS IN IT , CHECK THE HOOK IN THE SEAR TO SEE HOW WARN OUT IT IS . ARE THE PINS AT THE BARREL LOOSE YET , DOES IT HAVE MILLED OR STAMPED REC. |

One more thing to add Garand....Even if you get the proper permit, that firearm will still be considered contraband. Any firearm that is contraband at some point will always be contraband. Fred is correct, the weapon should be disposed of. |
