The Dems haven't done anything with the Congressional control they gained in '06. They don't have the 66% majority needed to override the President though. I don't think you can blame the gas prices on them. Look no further than the Bush Administration's energy policy and dwindling fuel supplies. |

Gas at $4.00 a gallon and its going to $10 gentlemen. Thanks to the environmentalist [enviro-commies] they lobby and influence legislators in Congress, the U.S. has, for decades, been prohibited from drilling for oil in places that we know contain billions of barrels of proven reserves. Actually you can blame the dem's for the gas prices. Their policies against exploration and restricted drilling areas has resulted in the current debacle. The USA is the most powerful nation in the world and the Dem's resent that. We are built on the premise that the people are in charge of the government, but in the years following FDR most have developed the Gov't should "take care of me" attitude thereby handing over their rights to the government. What ever happened to the self reliant, get the job done, whatever the cost Americans? Are we relegated to fringe groups? The government is broken! WE need to fix it from the inside. Vote for the right people, research who they are and then support them whatever way you can. The Iraqis are clamoring for new new Constitution. If Barak gets elected we can send them ours, we won't be using it anymore. Life is short, THIS IS NOT A DRILL! |

1840 book of short stories by Edgar Allen Poe describes the Democrat Party. To reacquire power, Democrats will foist upon this nation an extremely questionable candidate, but what can you expect from a party who wants Americans to be ashamed of their soldiers and portrays our nation as greedy and inhumane to the rest of the world. Poe hit the bullseye, didn't he... Islamic and anti-American Congressman Keith Ellison said in a speech "America is an imperial power; a grotesque epitaph for the 56 men who signed our Declaration of Independence." Shame on him, and for those who support him, including his close pal Obama. Of course his anti-white, anti-American rhetoric is never criticized by his party or the yellow press, a clear signal of what the rest of us have come to expect. America's liberal press will never mention the machete wielding Muslim towel-heads slaughtering Christians in the Sudan, but they will tell you Egyptians are positively giddy that we have a candidate named Hussein. If Barack Hussein Obama winds-up in our nation's White House; a candidate who thinks patriotism is a form of white supremacy. Obama is a radical leftist with an embarrassing past his party scrambles to keep concealed. Anyone questioning his sordid experience with communists and anti-white, anti-American radicals is labeled neo-con. Leftie laureate Maureen Dowd now calls conservative websites digging-up Obama's background and acquaintances sleazy. Paris Hilton's latest escapade remains NEWS, but factual biographical information on an anti-American Democrat political candidate is sleazy. Where is the American media? We must question his past and present radical statements and long list of anti-American associates? Are they hoping for future employment with a Muslim owned newspaper? Actually Tracey, my parents are planning on not voting. While most are clearly disappointed with the "best" our country has to offer, I certainly think this is a pivotal election which will determine whether our country maintains the freedom we have enjoyed. It's slipping away, and I'm not sure either of these candidates possesses the intention or ability to preserve it. Perhaps we can start a grass roots campaign for write in ballots for someone who has the American people in mind. Anyone for Ron Paul? |

I prefer not to discuss politics and stick to something I know a little something about. However, I understand where you're coming from. But realize this election is about the future of this Country. Agreed, $#!^ for choices. Please understand this. I must, no... 'We' must cast our votes for the lesser of the evils. By NOT voting in this decision, it's a vote for them. The 'Liberal Disease' that is spreading across this Country. This disease will continue to poison the water of our freedoms. The Second Amendment included. Below are passages from books written by Obama. These are his words… From the book - Dreams of My Father: 'I ceased to advertise my mother's race at the age of 12 or 13, when I began to suspect that by doing so I was ingratiating myself to whites.' 'I found a solace in nursing a pervasive sense of grievance and animosity against my mother's race.' 'There was something about him that made me wary, a little too sure of himself, maybe. And white.' 'It remained necessary to prove which side you were on, to show your loyalty to the black masses, to strike out and name names.' 'I never emulate white men and brown men whose fates didn't speak to my own. It was into my father's image, the black man, son of Africa , that I had packed all the attributes I sought in myself, the attributes of Martin and Malcolm, DuBois and Mandela.' From the book - Audacity of Hope: It is imperative gentleman, "When Determined To Survive, Leave Nothing To Chance" |

Yeah. That's definitely the real reason we're at war in Iraq and Afghanistan. Base of operations in the middle east offers us a superior tactical advantage. Problem is, we're spread thin and our economy won't support what we're doing now much less any further conflicts. I think Iran is outplaying us on this, but I hope I'm wrong. |
