Ak Sniper,
I will answer your post by stating that this Countries Military is strictly volunteer. No one signed up with a gun against his or her head. At this time, we have a draft registration but have no draft. It is tragic that lives are lost from enemy combat. What is more tragic is loss of life by friendly fire and war time deployment accidents. No matter how a serviceman or woman becomes a casualty, each and everyone deserves this Countries highest respect and honor. As each volunteered to serve and paid the ultimate price for this Country. We must pray for the family and grieve for each individual. It is unfortunate that politics plays a part in war. Perhaps the politicians are made to fight in the conflicts they create and sent out during the first wave. Only then will wars be fought for the most noblest of reasons.

Regarding your digression into oil and who is profiting. The US dollar has become greatly devalued. This government keeps printing more and more. It's simple my friend, the more printed, the less value. For every dollar that flows out of the border, our situation will become worst. Blame outsourcing to China & India. Selling US companies and huge amounts of real estate to Japan. Blame trade imbalance and the amount of money sent to Mexico from illegal immigrants. Only when these issues are negated, will our dollar become strong once again and the price you and I pay for goods and services fall.

was trying to say why is that people try to protest against what were doing in Iraq and the same in Vietnam b/c they feel that were, how do I say this,
.. trying to say any fake properganda to have people against this war as to say like getting Oil, getting new land, power. but as many people not liking wars and yet thats the last option to get the Axis Power or Terrorism away and there will be many people against something that would of been provocted

Well, every American Citizen has the freedom of speech in this Country. This freedom is protected by the First Amendment to the United States Constitution. Criticism of this government and advocates of unpopular ideas that you and I may find distasteful or against military policies are permitted. What a concept, one that certainly has its down side to be sure. There has been impressive strides against our enemies in the middle east. Many cities and towns have set up councils that work with coalition forces to govern the areas. At the national level, the Iraqi Governing Council is trying to take charge. Hey these people have never had the opportunity to do this before. It is hard to find and appoint people to lead the various ministries in a reconstituted Iraq. It's going to take a long time. This is not fast food my friend. Economically, the coalition has started the flow of oil out of Iraq. This will help the future well being of the country. The most important issue in Iraq is that coalition forces are making incredible, remarkable strides toward the security and stability of Iraq. U.S. soldiers understand the mission, they understand the greater mission and why we are there. But don’t expect to hear the left-wing liberal news media provide any praise or even the slightest bit of positive news related to Iraq. That would undermine their political agenda. We have to accept the good and the bad, of a free country and its liberal society.

We the Patroits see things alot differant than others, but there are still divisions even between us... I for one welcome an international competitive market. I am the best I know how to be, Chinese, mexican, tall, or skinny, I'm weilling to compete with anyone. At worse I may learn something new, making me better. And if anyone wants to come to arms, I will stand for my Country, even if I have to provide my own arms. All I ask is a ride to his back yard. Our military may make it's mistakes, and people will always die, but a true patroit will always be willing to stand there and die along with it fighting force; and those who don't understand or want to fight can just stay home.

Arrogant or Ignorant?
It is difficult for me to comprehend living within such close proximity to those that want to exterminate your very existence. Winning means survival for Israel. It's different when you and I live 7,000 clicks away. I understand that there are those in this country that can't perceive the value of international allies such as Israel. I strongly believe the United States requires as many allies as humanly possible to obtain and maintain. Unfortunately our government 'chair polishers' feel we can buy our friends. Ya Rrrrright. Everyone has their hands out when times are good. As soon as the $#!t hits the fan and America could utilize small amount of support. Only a few countries will remain at America's side. You can bet your left nut, that two of them would be Great Britain and Israel.

I understand that there are many beautiful destinations. I remember as a child, my parents visited Beirut one year and the next Tel Aviv. Americans tend to group the Middle East into one scary place. It consists of more than 20 countries, and the biggest danger they share is misunderstanding. Among the most well-traveled U.S. citizens, many have been to the Middle East in the past year, a statistic that has hardly changed over the past four years. I understand that sophisticated cultures, wonderful landscapes, fine restaurants and hotels. Visiting the region comes with some risk. Could the rewards outweigh any possible perils? I read that the hospitality runs deep in the former Persia, Iran. A country whose ancient culture lives on in desert ruins and glittering mosques. The Islamic Republic of Iran's charter membership in the axis of evil revolves around its politics. Perhaps, not for its people. I also read that American travelers are generally treated very well, in part because they have been such a rarity over the last three decades and in part because Iranians are thoroughly gracious. Authorities are also working on their hospitality, initiating a campaign to boost tourism by handing out cash bonuses to travel agents who bring in Americans and Europeans. Still, Americans are required to travel with a guide and a visa, which currently costs $230 US and can take as long as two months to arrange. The foreign ministry says that the guide is meant to ensure the safety of American tourists. I wonder if that is more to keep an eye on them?

I have heard that the Iranian people are very friendly and very pro-American. Let's see if they have that same opinion in a couple years when we're occupying their war torn country.

I like the idea of Hawaii - Thank you President Dwight D. Eisenhower. It was Eisenhower who signed the papers making Hawaii an official part of the United States of America. I have had the pleasure to visit Hawaii twice and would go again in a heart beat. The Hawaiian island chain has a long and colorful history, from both its Pacific Island and American lineages.

I can't get over when listing our greatest Allies, there are really so few. Germany and Japan would have our backs, but when it comes to deployment, only Isreal and The UK would hit ground zero with us through thick or thin. Even France would could possible draw arms against us if the situation was really ****ed up enough. What a world we now live in...

France gave us the statue of liberty, was the only one to acknowledge our indipendance from the UK. Then we covered their asses in Vietnam, Burried our dead on their soil while trying to liberate them in WWII. And they turned their back's on us with Iraq! Do you think they will trade the statue of Liberty back for our boys remains? We'll call it over and kill'em in the next big one!! If we can get them to commit to fight that is!!!

Hold up a minute.
I might be pissed at France, but never mentioned anything about going to war.
Our troops wouldn't break a sweat in the process, never the less nobody mentioned killing. Yes, the Allied forces liberated France. A grateful nation gave the USA the Lady Liberty Statue. Our dough boys got lucky with the french women. Perhaps that's why the Frenchmen don't like us. Regarding Vietnam. 1954 the conflict between France and Vietnam was already long. In July 1954, after one hundred years of French Colonial rule, France was forced to leave Vietnam. Communist forces defeated the French troops at Dien Bien Phu. A remote outpost in the northwest of Vietnam. This defeat convinced the French that they could no longer maintain their French Colonies and quickly pulled out. This provided the vacuum for the communists and with the cold war raging between the USA and the USSR, so began our bloody history in Indochina. The French got there butts kicked. Like always. Our Troops kicked VC butt. We had them on the ropes, until the communist American news media did what the NVA couldn't do.

I have to agree with the General on France. Don't like em either, and feel a little betrayed, but they have their sovereignty and with that comes the right to decide what's in the best interest of their country. I don't think we should have invaded Iraq to begin with, so I don't hold that against them.

LT Colonel Smith,

No offense is taken. I enjoy this exchange of ideals immensely and I thank you.
I agree that France and its people slap the American People in the face at every opportunity, and side with the axis governments. That, in it's self is not cause for war with them. Have we been betrayed? Absolutely.

Now if tomorrow we discover that the government of France is aiding and abiding our enemy, that is a completely different scenario.

Thanks, General, I too enjoy our exchanges of thoughts and ideas. I never meant to imply we should declair war on France, just that they are most likely to decide against us in the next big one, where we must choose sides, in which case, alot of Americans would enjoy alittle pay-back. They are continueingly seperating themselves from us and our ideality. They've chosen to see America from another side and I think if lines are drawn in the sand, they will be against us and not with us.... In the new world, we must be a super power, because there are few allies on our side. As far as whether or nor not we should have invaded Iraq? I stand behind the over-throw! Sooner or later, Saddam would have made history with his insanity! Had he weapons of mass destruction, he would of used them sooner or later, against us or one of our true allies!!!!

What more can you say that confirms my statement? Even if they chose to side with us, I would not want them next to our troups on the battle feild. Not that I doubt their fighting ability, but rather; I don't trust their government. If ordered to turn their guns on us, they would! They would probably enjoy taking us on too. We've given them the name they will be known as 'til they prove otherwise. You can fill in that name with any word you choose, but allie or trusted freind would be found in your statement. Very well, how about we start with...

Stopping the systematic removal of our Christian God from public life and national discussion.

Allowing peoples, religions and organizations who openly and publicly want to see the destruction of America to exist freely in our country taking advantage of our liberty.

An out of control government that is all about power and privilege, not service.

The lawyer society. Lawyers run the country and pass laws that benefit lawyers who are judged by lawyers who get the money to run for office from lawyers who can bully any non-lawyer.

Citizens who don’t care about any negative as long as it doesn't’t affect them, and better yet, if they can personally benefit, but the country suffers overall, tough luck.

A lack of teaching and celebrating our heritage, culture and accomplishes. Why is it accepted to hate America and belittle the most benevolent, freedom-loving country in history.

The news media needs to be unbiased if that is possible. The Media just spins their own political addenda.

Why do we care what the TV and movie stars are up to. Our celebrity obsessed culture needs to end. We need to start focusing on the future instead of the next party the movie stars are going to.

The stupid-ifictaion of American Kids. Our kids are getting less intelligent by the minute by allowing them to idolize sport celebrities and the like instead of academia and good old hard WORK. We don’t need any more 15 year old mothers!

Political correctness is a terrible force at work in America. People are afraid to speak their mind for fear of offending a minority or some obscure fringe group!

Major General Chain, you hit the root cause for all our problems with your first response. All the others fall in line under that because those issues wouldn't be issues if we put Christ where he deserves to be. Above all else.
Brigadier General Fred, you also hit the nail on the head. His coming is inevitable, and why would we work to stop it. In the Bible it states that when Israel is a nation again, that generation will not pass away. The time frame for a generation is the only variable. 75 years? 100? We are not to know the exact time of his arrival for it is to be a surprise.

Does this mean we should stop fighting to preserve the life and country we love? Absolutely not. In fact, we are supposed to keep fighting for it. The Bible is very clear about how to fight. We are supposed to fight for Christ by spreading his word. I have not been fighting enough for Christ. Have you?

Interesting how these topics steer themselves. I certainly didn't begin my response to these posts with spreading the word of Christ as my focus, but it ended up being an examination of my own works. Kinda makes you wonder if they are steering themselves. Divine intervention?

We're guided, steered if you will, by our choices dear friends. Each and everyone on this magnificent blue marble. Those who choose the path of evil, create their own hell and treachery. Those of us that decide to walk the paths of righteousness, enjoy the rewards. My wife, children and I have been blessed time and time again. God has never forsaken us. Perhaps, this is because we don’t deny him and choose to keep him in our daily lives, hearts and minds.
