Just ordered a H&K P2000SK chambered in .357 Sig. I ordered the SA/DA version with night sights. Should have it by the middle of next week. I will post some pics when it arrives at it's new home.

Anyone have experience with one? I normally would have asked before ordering it, but I handled one at the gun show and it felt like an extension of my hand.

Congratulations on your latest acquisition.
I have had the opportunity to put a few rounds down range with a HK P2K chambered in .357 Sig. The double action trigger pull can be heavy. However, the single action is very nice. The subcompact grip will have pinkies hanging off the bottom of those with big paws. The pistol is very concealable. Those that are recoil sensitive may experience some muzzle flip. It is controllable with conscious effort. The accuracy is acceptable for a service/carry pistol. About a year ago H&K had discontinued the .357 sig P2000 models. It’s a hot round, perhaps just slow to catch on.

The P200SK comes with mags that have a slightly curved baseplate that allows for your pinkie to rest comfortably. At least mine.
Chain, this is a brand new pistol. Are you sure H&K discontinued the .357 Sig in the P2000SK? I'm sure the muzzle rise won't be much more than my Ultra Covert Kimber in .45ACP. What do you think?

I must be mistaken and appreciate the information. You'll like the magazine finger extensions, they will provide a more comfortable grip. I think you'll agree that the Kimber Ultra has significant muzzle flip. If you're handling that pistol, you'll have no issues with the HK P2Ksk.

MUZZLE FLIP , HA ! THATS A WAY TO PUT IT . 357 SIG SHOULD BE VERY SMOOTH IN COMPARISON . ALTHOUGH , I GOT RID OF MY HK 9MM USP . IT WAS NOT AS SMOOTH AS THE 45 USP . 357 SIG WILL FEEL FAST . LIKE THE 9MM

Finally got the opportunity to fire my new P2000SK .357 Sig. Gun operated flawlessly, but I was disappointed with it's accuracy. It was consistently shooting 2-3" to the left at 20'. I thought it must be me, so I switched to my Kimber Ultra Covert II, and blew the middle 3" of the target completely out after 2 magazines.
Is it possible that the H&K's sites are off? Suggestions are welcome.

Brad,
I am sorry to learn of the disappointing performance from your new pistol.
Don't expect the same accuracy from the P2K-SK as from your Kimber, partner. The H&K is a 'Service Grade' pistol and was never meant to compete against a Kimber. I might suggest tapping the rear sight to the right, that will help some. Another suggestion would be to install an adjustable rear sight, that would be better.
Good luck my friend.

General,
I normally wouldn't expect it to compete, but the XD40 I traded for it was a much more accurate pistol. My XD had a 4" barrel, so I guess it's not fair to assume that the 2 3/4" barrel in the P2K-SK can compete with it. I was really hoping it would be a good carry replacement for the rust prone Kimber. Can't bet your life on a gun that's not accurate though. I think this one may be heading to the trading block.

Oh Rats - what a shame, I am sorry you traded off your Springfield XD40. Nuts.

Listen, in defense of your P2K-SK, 3" Autos are challenging, even for the best shooters. My PPK/S and FN BDA required a heck of a lot of range time, before I became confident in my ability to put the rounds where I wanted, when I wanted. And then, I will only carry a 380 when deep concealment is necessary.

The only reason I'll trade a firearm, is when I've lost confidence in it.

I trust my life, the lives of family and friends to a XD9. Dependability, accuracy and durability... in that order. Sorry my friend. I don't mean to rub salt into a wound. Hang in there, partner.

Regarding pistol sight adjustment.

The first thing is “FORS” front opposite, rear same. When you want to move the impact point, move the front sight in the opposite direction of the point impact. For instance, when the round goes low, move the sight down, or opposite from the desired point of impact.

Use a brass drift, and lay the pistol on a good piece of padding and gently tap the slide. You'll have to give it a bit of encouragement. FORS works for windage as well, so if you're pistol is shooting to the right, you want to change the impact point to the left, thus Rear Same or you'll want to move the rear sight to the left. Good luck.

I'm going to take it back to the gun shop and tell them it isn't what I paid for. A high quality firearm with a high price tag. I'll let them work out the details.

That's frustrating and the shop should understand this.
Do you think you'll be able to get your XD back?

If they haven't sold it already. We'll see. I spend enough money at the store for them to bend a little for me. I've never heard anyone give any guarantees on firearms, so we'll see.
I'd be happy if they sent it back to H&K to have the sights checked. I really like the gun, but it's worthless if you can't hit what you're shooting at. If H&K can't fix the accuracy issue then I'll talk to them about a refund.

I don't like the feel of the Sigs Fred. I tried a few on at the last gun show. I'm going to give the H&K a few more trips to the range before I make a decision on it.
