A former shop employee ordered one a while back for a customer that never came in to pick it up. The .22 LR kit comes with instructions, one magazine, and cleaning rod. I mentioned your request and as no one has shown any interest, the Gun Shop owner allow me to test it. Low-mount target rear sight and front site is the standard dovetail design. The slide is aluminum, and the barrel is steel. Installation is easy. Like most .22 conversions, the operation is straight blowback. The slide does NOT stay open when the magazine is empty. FIT AND FINISH: On the frame, the slide fit was good. The matte anodized finish looks good. The barrel lug had only slight finish machining. FUNCTION: It was tested with three different manufactures - Remington, Winchester, and Federal 22LR ammunition. While all ammo ejected. There was numerous fail to fire. (Approx. 3 out of 10 rds) Accuracy: fair to poor. When this conversion kit was ordered, the price was $199.95 plus shipping. BOTTOM LINE: Spend your money on a quality 22 pistol instead of this conversion kit. "When Determined To Survive, Leave Nothing To Chance" |
