Ok well maybe you can answer this question for me can women even go to sniper school in the marine Corp?

Lt Colonel,
I doubt it. Please correct me if I am mistaken, the Marines will not allow women in direct combat roles. They are allowed support positions i.e. Gun ships & Convoys. There are women sharpshooters, but not snipers.

This is what i thought but a female i knew was triyng to tell me that she was a sniper. I was pretty sure she was lying cause i know she's lied about other things, but i just wanted to make sure. I know i never saw any women in the Army Sniper coarse, and was told they weren't allowed. But i did see them at advanced marksmanship coarse so thanks for your input Colonel.

Your welcome my friend. I would like to give her the benefit of the doubt. Perhaps that's what she meant to say? I wouldn't want to take anything away from the women within the advanced marksmanship programs. I know they are very skillful. I believe that women can produce as good or better targets than many men.

Well normally i wouldn't have batted an eye at it, but she has told enough lies that i just don't believe it. But i've met lost of great female sharp shooters.

No woman can't be any kind of Combat that would be in use of yourselves and your spotter the reason why is because they don't want any female when captured to be in harm as you can watch " When Eagles Fly"
it's a Marine movie and marines go and save a female Officer Pilot and yet she is torchered thats why they don't want female with and specific MOS in 0311 or after training MOS in SOI I would only say Infantry would be close as it can get to scout sniper or Force Recon and yet she may not where the training is like at Quanico,VA or Camp Graiger. Basically she wants to act as earned Marine Scout Sniper as mainly Marines earned in tough training and its like other trying the Unhero Medal lie stories. maybe she saying that b/c she got the best sharpshooter in her training unit but just ask her where she went and doesn't reply back or says something different than Quanico,Va or Camp Graiger.

and congrats Jollyroger to being a Marine

but snipers are the oldest since Revoulutionary War
so snipers made the US.
