A reckless driver in Polk County Florida was pulled over in a routine traffic stop. The suspect began shooting and ended up executing the deputy who stopped him. This L.E. Officer was shot eight times, including once behind his right ear at close range. Another deputy was wounded and his police dog also shot and killed. A statewide manhunt ensued. The perpetrator low-life was found hiding in a wooded area with the gun used to kill the deputy, the police dog and wound the other deputy. After refusing to give up. The SWAT team officers fired. Hitting the suspect a total of 68 times. Now here's the kicker: Naturally, the media asked the Sheriff why the perpetrator was shot so many times? Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd, Inform the Orlando Sentinel: "That's all the bullets we had!" |

Chaindriven, a great story. Can you imagine if that were true, or is it? If it were a CCW holder, we would be in jail for sure and the media would make sure to throw away the key themselves. |

That is a true story. I live about an hour from Polk County. I watched the media coverage of the whole thing. Not one negative comment from any media outlet about the Sheriff's remark. People don't like cop killers. |

Absolutely! I definitely think that in situations like that, where there is an armed fugitive who has mercilessly killed innocent people, our LEO's should forego the justice system. |

You have to love Grady Judds responce to the stupid question. I wish more law enforcement officers talked like that. I hate those politically correct responces like, We will investigate the matter further to asses the officers conduct, or the opologetic, It was a tragic situation that could not be avoided. FINALLY SOMBODY ENFORCES THE LAW WITHOUT NEEDING TO OPPOLOGIZE, OR FEEL GUILTY ABOUT IT. |

I like that answer, quick and simple and says everything that's needed. "We deal in Lead, friend." Steve Mcqueen from the Magnificent Seven. |
