Is it just me or has anyone else thought this while watching a movie? Why are movie scenes re-shot(pun intended) if there is a misfire or the actor bobbles the firearm? And even if there were problems that weren't caught on the movie set, why it is oftentimes fixed in the editing room. A Lot of what we see on the silver screen has to be adjusted for technical and safety reasons. I understand this. Just sticking some sort of blank in an auto or revolver isn't necessarily going to get the desired effect the director wants, and the ultimate results are usually a function of the expertise of the particular gun handler or prop master on the movie set. Just once, just ONCE, I would like to see a stove pipe, magazine drop or a movie star catch a round when using a piece of furniture as protective cover. Wouldn’t you?
