I disassemble the firearm brush all the components with Hoppe's Powder Solvent No. 9 let it set for a few minutes wipe the parts down and spray Birchwood Casey Gun Scrubber as a second step. Use compressed air to dry. light oil and reassemble. Avoid getting the gun scrubber on any furniture or take off grips, stock, etc. I help a FFL dealer friend at shows. One thing I have noticed, nobody trades-in a clean gun. I have cleaned many really dirty firearms. Hoppe's Powder Solvent No. 9 will clean them, you may have to let parts soak over night, but it will clean them. The only better way to clean firearms is to use a ultra-sonic machine. I use the Break Free as well, and it seems to do pretty well. |

I generally use Remington or Hoppes but i've just started using G-96 CLP & been fairly impressed with that, especially as an allrounder, even use it as you would WD40 or CRC. |
