Hello, I would like some advises, I am do personal rage to fire calibers .22 9 Para 40 and 45 acp Box of wood long 8 feet and 3x3 feet fill with sand front of it fiber board Hope here from you soon |

David, Your on the right track for a home made bullet trap. If I am reading you correct, you have a 9 square foot area by 8 feet long filled with sand? If that is correct, that will stop almost anything in my arsenal. Most certainly the .22LR, 9MM & .45ACP calibers. Let me know if I got your post right as I would not want to lead you astray. At one of my local ranges, they are using hollow walls made of 6"x1" rough sawn timber filled with a 6" thickness of scoria, and it stops ALL pistol calibers at ALL ranges including point blank. Another range I looked at had Alluminium sheathed polystyrene (freezer/chiller wall) against earth for a sound proof indoor rifle range. I hope these ideas help. 'LEST WE FORGET' |
