good day! i am a graduating medical student at zamboanga city philippines, currently assigned to serve the underpriveledged communities up in the mountains of my country. at 23, i have just recently fired my first 20 rounds of live ammunition. we practiced on a 22 and 9mm norinco handguns, and i got immediately hooked!! it is necessary for us to learn how to handle firearms at this part of our country, as where we work as health providers, are also infested with rebels...after a few rounds of fire, i have also learned to dismantle and re assemble a taurus 9mm...thats about all i know about guns...not much at all! i hope to learn more from you guys, im sure experts at this field. after i graduate, i will still be serving my country in its underserved locations, and with the first paycheck i get, will be purchasing the first of several guns i plan to own...mostly for self defense and home use...what would you suggest be the best for me? by the way, i stand 6 feet tall and am quite muscular in build, so i guess i could handle some firearms with strong recoil...thanks again guys! |

Jemuel welcome to the RnG forum. You certainly have your hands full serving in the rebel infested, rugged Philippine jungle mountains my friend. Be sure to become very familiar with the rebel's weapons of choice. "Those who willingly give up freedom for temporary safety deserve neither freedom or safety" |
