Ok....I'm getting ready to buy a scoped Remington 710 in 30-06 for $220. What do you guys think of this rifle?

Remington Bolt actions are almost always a great way to go and the price seems right

THAT'S REALLY COOL SIR... JUST $220 THATS PRETTY GREAT BECAUSE I'VE SEEN ONE THAT COSTS $318.... This particular model has been heavily criticized, however, because many of the internal parts were made out of plastic, therefore bringing about many questions having to do with the durability of the rifle. Remington has since fixed this supposed problem.

I like the looks of the 770 which is just an upgrade to the 710, but didnt like the feel of the action. You can get a new scoped 770 at a lot of Walmarts for around $300 (it might have even been less). Let us know how it works out for you if you get it. I am interested in the type of shot group you can get with it at 100 yards.

Lots of haters for this gun.
It was recalled because of bolt issues, make sure its steel..
Its a great gun, I have one and i have had no problems with it except the constant crap I get for owning it from gun forum members who have never owned or fired one.
