There must be a 100 different 22 caliber rifle makers that make them in all sorts of models and styles. As gunlover_dhadz said, please get specific when you ask a question about any gun. At least give us what you know about the gun. No one can help you with such a vague question. Don't worry about how many points you have to go to make Lt. Col. just let it be known you have quite a ways to go. |

JJones, welcome to the RnG forum. That was a very nice gift from your Father. I remember my first .22LR rifle. We'll do what we can to assist you to learn more about your firearm. Currently, we don't have much to go on partner. Can you tell us if it is a bolt-action, semi-auto or pump action? You'll have to provide us with the markings you find on the receiver and barrel. O.K.? This will help us to provide some information on your rifle. "Those who willingly give up freedom for temporary safety deserve neither freedom or safety" |

You need a lot of points to become a Lt Col. It's good that you own a gun. You should examine the gun, most manufacters mark it with their name, caliber and model. "We deal in Lead, friend." Steve Mcqueen from the Magnificent Seven. |

First you need to think of safety. Is this a new gun or used. Make sure it's not loaded. Make sure it is clean and clear of obstructions. I would suggest getting with dad and learning some gun safety! I can't stress it enough. keep in mind you are responsible for everything that comes out of it! |

Master Sergeant, thank you. You sir, are correct. I am embarrassed, I assume everyone is firearm safety trained. Sergeant jjones7745, please heed the Master Sergeant's advise. Have your Father assist you. Perhaps he'll be interested in joining the RnG community as did you. Good luck. "When you're determined to survive, you leave nothing to chance." |
