What movie do you feel accurately display firearms? Which movies have glaring errors using firearms. Terminator 1: In one scene during the shoot out in the police station Arnold fires his AR 18 and it sounds like a shotgun, a couple second later he raises his shotgun and it sounds like a burst of automatic fire. Heat seemed to get it right, the quick reloads, actually aiming the gun rather than hip firing it. Speed reloads, accurate noise and the guns seemed to kick. Also any movie where someone has a 1911 pointed at someone and the hammer's down. |

One of the things I do when watching a movie is always count the shots. It is a habit I learned on the range. I find that most revolvers in the movies can be loaded with 9-20 rounds.Go figure.I would like to find one of those guns.I also notice their tactical errors.Never hold a gun with a fully extended arm or hold it sideways. It makes it vaery easy to take the gun from you.But I am not a TV cop or movie action hero so what do I know. |

I love any movie that the guy carrys 2 .50 desert eagles and fires them 100% accurately!! In commando when arnold fired the valmet it either had a very short belt or just no belt at all!!! From what I read all he did was hold it in one hand and shake it around a lot then the special effects guys went in and added the nuclear stlye muzzle flash! When it comes to westerns the unforgiven really got it right by NOT giving everyone a colt SAA as this was NOT carried by the majority of people back then. The movie did however create a market for conerted stars and S&W did come back out with the schofield for a short time! |

I'VE WATCHED MANY MOVIES THAT HAS PRETTY EMBARASSING GUN EFFECTS.... I GOT ONE HERE THAT IS THE BLOOD FIST....AND IT'S SEQUELS... THEY'RE ACTUALLY SHOOTIN A GUN WITHOUT SEEIN' ANYTHING BEING HIT...... THE GUNS BEIN' A BLANK GUN IT PRETTY OBVIOUS.......... YOU CAN SEE A MAN SHOOTIN A CAR WITHOUT MAKING HOLES IN IT.... NO GUNS, NO GLORY!!! |

If you haven't seen Shooter, you should. Mark Wahlberg plays an ex-Marine sniper. Many ex-military snipers have remarked about the accuracy of the infomation in the movie. Let me know what you think if/after you've watched it. 5 stars from me. |

Lately I've noticed more and more movies and shows being closer to what the gun actually holds as far as rounds. I'm always amazed at how the hero, being shot at by twenty guys with full autos doesn't seem to be hit once. And he can fire his 4 inch tactical pistol and nail every one of the twenty guys, from 75 yards or more, while on the run. Thats damn good control... It's no wonder the people that know nothing about guns are so scared of them and think they're so evil. I'd rather go hunting with Dick, than driving with Ted: |
