pro's cost, supply of amo, reliability, con's rec.stamped, vector makes an afordible milled one, folding stock makes gun usless,in terms of acuracy, but looks cool only! after all no collection is complete with out one.wach rec. pins every now and then, make sure they are still tight up by the chamber. |

An AK usually has dirt cheap ammo. It feels like your firing a real gun compared to a .22(nothing against .22s" but I like a little recoil and some barell rise. Plus they're easy to maintain, a cicnch to strip down. Currently places like tapco are making tons of accesories for them. The con usually is the so so accuracy. "We deal in Lead, friend." It's basically The Rock River arms version of an AR 15, it's a bit newer and might have a few relatively useless features. Accuracy between the two should be about the same. Armalite has great warranty, or so I've heard. I'd still go with the AK 47, it's a monster of a rifle. Plus it's considerably cheaper and doesn't require much maintenance. AR 15 use the Ljunnaman(SP?) gas systems so hot air and grime it thrown into the receiver of an already tight gun, it could cause jams and even failure to eject or fully cycle. If i had to choose i would probably op for the AR 15 but if it was compleatly down to me it would have to be a Steyr Aug, they would bring a new edge of fun into plinking. Is it suposed to twitch like that |
