Hey Everyone,

Just wondering what your opinions were on the Sig 556 rifle? I know there aren't that many accessories currently available on the market..but what would you like to see with the new Sig 556? I actually am from NH and am working on a project for Sigarms at an internship. It would be great to get some feedback as to what accessories you think are vital for the Sig 556. Thanks!

Now that's a job I'd like to try, Testing firearms & choosing accessories and getting payed for it instead of the other way around.

Actually to my dismay, I'm not getting paid for choosing AR-15 accessories. However, from your perspective, as a civilian consumer, what AR-15 accessories would you choose for your new rifle? I am actually not an avid gun owner, therefore I don't have the perspective many of you have. Would be great to get your feedback! Thanks for the reply!

I'm not sure what are currently available, but I know a few I'd want. A forward hand grip for sure. Somekind of picatinny rail so a flash light, laser system, etc, etc. Maybe an option to change to open sights, I like peep but nothings better for short range quick aquired targets.

A folding stock or a T6 adjustable type, like on the M4. Definetley find something that mount Surefire lights. A drum type magazine would be nice to. I don't own a Sig 556 but I've fired one at a gun range. Accurate, lightweight, great egronomics. I'd love to get ahold of the Sniper system version though.

I gotta ask ...do you think the 556 is of the same quality as the 210 pistol? The STG 57 or SIG AMT?

Yes I'd love a sniper variant too... Some piccatinny rails would be ideal.

A rail system would be the best thing because it opens it up to all the different accsesories that have already been on the market.

I've not seen one in person yet; but the info on Sig's site says it comes with an integrated tri-rail setup. Is that not actually the case?

No other semi-atuo rifle has captured the imagination of the shooting public like the SG550 series rifle. For years this legendary Swiss made rifle has been restricted to Law Enforcement and military sales where it has built is reputation for outstanding performance. accuracy and durability.
