I just wanted to interduce myself to the forum. I've spent most of my life around guns. Did a lot of hunting and shooting growing up in Iowa. Reloaded shotgun and shot a lot of trap out there. I've been here in Denver Colorado for the last 7 years and I am getting back into guns pretty seriously. Picked up a real nice Colt 1911 National Match Gold Cup at a local gun show and just started reloading 45 caliber. I joined a local gun club and try to shoot once a week. My wife is gone for the weekend, so when I'm done writing this I'm going to setup the reloader on the kitchen table (not that she really gives a rip) and do some reloading. Our apartment lease runs out in May and it is time to look for a house! Hope to get into some good discussions with you on this site. Keep shoot'in. Pistol Smith |

Pistol Smith. Welcome to a very large club, those who love to own and shoot guns. I have to say I am a little envious of your Colt 1911 National Match Gold Cup. Don't know what kind of deal you got on it at the show you purchased but, a great find. I am also a fellow Iowan, but, have been gone from there for many, many years now. But my days of hunting pheasants will always be a fond memory. I wish you good luck in finding a house so you will have a garage to do your reloading. |
