well what i would do is try look for pictures of old remington handguns online because there are plenty of gun websites out there with loads of info. second id probably go get an appraisal, BUT BE CAREFUL when getting an appraisal on a gun, make sure the appraiser is familiar with guns otherwise whoever it is might just price it on how old it is and not things like who made it, how many were made, the desirability of the gun.

Maggie, I am aware you put this message on the board way back in April, but, just in case you are still trying to find out the worth of your Remington here is one more suggestion. Go to a large book store such as Books A Million or something like that and to to the guns area and look for a catalog of antique guns. There are catalogs for just about every gun out there and many on antiques. They give all the details of the gun and the faults and of course a range of prices that you may ask for it. Many dealers may try to take you and devalue your gun trying to get it for their own stock at a cheap price or try to discourage you from trying to sell it your self. But, I have found prices on my older guns easily and it was easy to see what your gun was worth all without buying the book. By the way you will have to write all the information down as you will not be able to take your gun in the book store. Good luck
