I'm looking to buy an Assault rifle. I need information from anyone on way an M-4 is better than a AK-47 or an any other rifle. |

It really depends on a number of things and what you're looking for. I personally like the AR more, but others may like the AK more. |

The M-4/M-16/AR-15 is great i have one, i love it, ihave work with M-4s in combat enviroments and they are just fine, very accurate asfar as im concerned, but the Aks ive shot, it was a craps shot as to where the rounds were gonna go down range. |

personaly I prefer the AK over the black guns, but have owend them too. Take a look at neverenoughguns.com(love that name) guys name is bret and all he deals in is Ak's, he's also a soldier and I'd rather give my money to a fightin man than a gun store any day of the week and twice on sunday. |

Assault rifles is a bad word, anti-gunners use it to describe our semi auto sporting guns. Clips is another one they like to use, clips go in from the top, like the M1Garand, magazines go in from the bottom. Back to your question, AR15's are more accurate than an AK, but with a little less stopping power. But this is not saying a .223 will not put someone down. Ask a bunch of terrorists in iraq and afganistan. Good luck on your search. |

I use a Steyr Aug with my unit in combat and in combat shooting compertitions. I have seen and fired the Aug along side the M4 and where the M4 has stopages the Aug just keeps on going. i can put a good 700-800 rounds through my Aug before i even have to get worried about it stopping. Not to mention the ease of admin after (cleaning the Aug is childs play compared to many other assault rifles). If your after a reliable assault rifle look at the popularity. The AKs are used by everyone mainly because they are so cheep. M4/M16 mainly by americans and the Steyr Aug, the Australian Army, The Austrian Army, The Irish Defence Force, The Soltan Of Omahn Armed Forces,The Falkland Islands Defence Force and many others. |

Not just because the AKs are cheap, but they are unstoppable. An Ak can eat up ten thousand rounds and not jam due to a rifle malfunction, the barrel might melt, but I bet it'll still cycle. I'll admit that the Steyr whips it in accuracy and I adore the Steyr Aug A3. I'm not a huge fan of the M4 and believe when you say it jammed, they're clean freaks all the way. The word assault should not be used when referring to a semi-automatic rifle.. You could say assault style. |

AK 47 ASSAULT RIFLE IS A VERY DURABLE AND RELIABLE RIFLE. IT IS UNSTOPPABLE BECAUSE IT IS NOT PRONE TO JAMMING AND MALFUNCTION. BUT WHEN IT COMES TO ACCURACY, I RATHER CHOOSE THE M4 CARBINE... BUT FOR ME, AK IS THE BEST NO MATTER WHAT... NO GUNS, NO GLORY!!! |

Ok the AK family is VERY dependible but.... each one is made individually so parts do NOT interchange so if somthing were to break it is not always an easy fix!!!! The best AK's in the world are made in Wyandotte OK. he has his receivers milled instaed of useing sheetmetal you have to supply the furniture but thats no problem. |
