just a story I had to tell yall. I bought a romainian ak-47 off gunbroker.com and had it shipped to my local gun store. It arived there and I went last sat. to pick it up. For what ever reason they were out of transfer paperwork and asked me to come back on monday. Now hear comes the good part......on sunday the gun store burned down!!! THIS SUCKS............ |

yaeh they have insurance so at least Im not out the money, but if the ak survived I may still get it |

Not to put a damper on things, but . . . I don't think that I'd pay the same price for a gun that had "survived" a fire as for one never in one. In fact, I doubt that I'd buy a gun that I knew had been through a fire at any price. There is no telling what the heat of a fire did to the metal parts of that gun, and you might not be able to tell until it failed catastrophically. There are a lot of Romanian AK's out there, but you only have two eyes, ten fingers and one life. I'd order a new one. Mother Nature is a stern teacher who eventually kills all of her students. |

I agree with cogito69, I would order a new one. With your luck so far on this AK- 47,I WOULDN'T TAKE THE CHANCE. |

Thought I would update yall on the saga of the AK. turns out the fire was in the back of the range and my Ak was in the fire safe at the front. It took about 6 weeks to get the damn thing but it is sweet, got about 400 rounds through it now with only one f.t.f which was a mag problem |

Hey flyboy glad you got your AK in good shape after the long wait. I have a new Romianian AK myself and it is a sweet shooting gun and so easy to keep up and maintain. |
