every chance you get(lol) just do it smartly, dont buy something because it looks cool, research your buy and make sure the upgrade is worth the money

Wow! That's a lot of questions. Upgrading rifles is a fun thing anytime and with whatever is a good QUALITY upgrade and it improves operational use. I know some things get tacked on because they look cool, but that should not be the initial consideration. The ammo question is a tough call. I suppose the application is the most important consideration. I gave up on factory ammo a long time ago. My reloads are set up for home defense, target shooting, hunting, car killing and so on. Study your ballistic tables, buy a reloader, scale, etc. and start experimenting. Don't get crazy with compressed loads and that insanity, you want your guns to last longer than one or two magazines but you also want the projectile to be effective. I hope this helps, if not let me know and I'll get more specific. JD

Life is short, THIS IS NOT A DRILL!

JD has a good point. When I was in the Marines I had an M-4 for back up the for grip is good to have for off hand shoots and an Aimpoint or EOtech for fast target hits, all so a good surefire type light for home use is good to have the white light can make someone think befour they do something dumb. But watch the weight you dont want to over do it and all so add more items to hang up on things.

Have you had any experience with the EOTech magnifying scope that sits in front of the holographic site and can be flipped out of the way for close in shots? It seems a good idea to give you better mid range accuracy while keeping the rifle effective for CQB.
