The subject was on here before, but then the remodeling came. So I revived it for one of the most popular weapons in the world. I personally own a WASR 10 and love the damn thing.

I just replaced the wood furniture with a Galil style handguard. Put on a foregrip and soon to mount a flashlight. I love the fact that the AK does not stop working. At a gun show earlier this year they had a demonstration for them. This guy put his AK through hell.

He buried, dug it up and it still fired. He through it in a bucket of water for what he said was to clean it off, popped in some dry rounds and it still fired. He then mixed both dirt water, dipped it in. It still went boom, boom, boom.

I saw Israel Gal do the same thing with the, then new Galil rifle at the Paris gun show back about 14 or 15 years ago. It is a pretty impressive demonstration.

Life is short, THIS IS NOT A DRILL!

REST IN PIECE COL.JEFF COOPER U.S.M.C.!MOLON LABE!AND MAY WE ALL TAKE LESSONS FROM REAL MEN LIKE YOU SIR!YOU WILL LIVE ON IN THE HEARTS AND MINDS OF PATRIOTS EVERYWHERE.

The aks my favorite rifle!I have one in 7.62x39,one in 5.45x39,and one in 223.I can definately rely on them to go bang whenever i pulll the trigger. They definately get a bad rap for accuracy but as far as i can see theyre just about perfect at their intended role,i wouldnt have anything else!Ive had a wasr 10 and loved it,wish i hadnt got rid of it but ill get another soon.Glad to see your having fun with your ak man.

I purchased a new Romanian AK 47 a few weeks ago at a gun show. It is different to shoot, but, is not any problem as of this writing. I also watched a video of what was talked about earler of how they burried the AK in sand and pulled it out and started fireing it. Also what about the steel casings of the ammo that is made in Russia, does it last in storage? I heard that some of the steel ammo rusts. But, I keep it in a fairly temperature controlled room, so,it probably will not be a problem for me. But, I am interested in all input from those who have owned or own AK's

I put all Tapco plastic on it (tapco sucks I had to modify the stock screw hole and the forend's locking tit to get it to fit right.
Brinkmann tactical flashlight, Chinese laser, and a No Name Chinese scope.

It's way lighter than the original MAK90 configuration.
It currently has my AIMPOINT on it, I switch it from my AR to AK.

I don't know what it weighs...just that when that 75rd. drum is loaded it's pretty freakin heavy.
