I'd load up some more pictures, but don't see the option anymore, so check out the sight. I'd love to have one if I could afford it.

basicaly anything can be used for home defense, it all comes down too what you are comfortable with. My personal favorite is a remington 870 12ga pump
nuthin like that sound to get the perps crapin their pants. As for safty just always lock up your guns, dont try to hide them because the kids will find them

Hello spcop. Are you a special Cop or special ops or is it just a handle? I was special ops, that's why I ask. JD

I have to agree with flyboy on this one. Personally I like a shorter barrel than and 870 comes with but you can buy extras and just make it 18.25" long, NOT LESS! I like a full stock, thought I broke my wrist one time with one of those silly pistol grip set ups. The problem with a handgun is the ammo. Bullets will go through sheetrock and plaster and could injure a family member. Just remember to never take the shot unless you have fully identified the target and where the bullet is going if you miss.

You mean you did something in the service that the full Congress and Senate was unaware of? OH! My goodness! Whatever shall we do?! Clandestine? That smacks of SECRET! We can't have that! War should be fair and above board, and it is SOOooo unfair that The United States is the only super power left in the world. Just ask John "effing" Kerry and Cofi (the theif) Annin. Semper Fi my brother! We love all of you, and thanks for a great job of keeping us free. JD

Well sometimes we have to do things for the good of the people so they can have the freedom to put us down for.

I doubt if anyone in here would put you down.

You are all the reason we can do the things we can today, from the most significant to the most mundane. From thew creation of this great country to today, our military is the finest in the world.

I'd rather go hunting with Dick, than driving with Ted:

The times, and the streets, they are a' changing! I agree with the shotgun suggestions above. But be aware that 00 buck shot will also penetrate wallboard and travel into adjacent rooms. For outdoor protection, 00 buck can't be beat. If the perp is out of 12 ga. range, you ought to be thinking about retreating to a safe place I also agree with a pump gun, less chance of a jam and oh that sound!

It's been suggested-12ga bird/upland game load (#4-#8 shot) for the house. Lethal at close range with many wound channels but little risk of penetrating walls. What do you think?

#8 works great, we tested it on the range, even at close range #8 will only go through a single sheet, it will mark a second sheet but thats it. #8 at close range will also mess up your day. It's the way to go. For handguns hydroshocks are very good, they do the job without overkill (excuse the pun).

I just get lucky, I'm thinking about making it a goal once a week to bring something weird to the site.
